Hotel Del Monte

Not your typical navy lodge, known as the historic Hotel Del Monte, is located on the beautiful Naval Postgraduate School campus.  It is a national historic site that dates back to 1878.  This magnificant hotel boasts of mahogany doors, red tile floors and the elegant iron work that is trademark of Spanish revival architecture, ceiling paintings, as well as two beautiful murals. Of note, there is the McNitt Ballroom with a 27 foot high ceiling, a Tower Room the 17-Mile Drive Witch Tree fresco, and the roman plunge and solarium.
